Proton Mail new privacy feature

With recent roll out of Proton Pass, a password manager, Proton has another updated feature of Proton Mail. A new way to block email tracking. Many sites have tracking in their emails that fill up our inboxes, these tracking pixels and other code can track when you clicked on an email, how long you had it open, whether you deleted it or not, your IP address and many other plots of info.

Proton Mail rolled out a new feature to block most of this tracking behavior, it is enabled by default, however you should still double check to ensure it’s enabled under Settings > Email Privacy (see featured image above). Read more about how this feature works here.
